Impending robot takeovers got you down? Well, then brush off that Musk, ditch those filters, don your fanciest IP masks, and get ready for a party so evolved, that our human neural networks might not be able to process it! It’s Swordraiser: AI Yai! and LoM is ready to GPT: Get Party Time-ing!
Letter of Marque Theater Company’s long-beloved, long-awaited performance party is back in person after a 3-year hiatus! A new venue, a new game, and all the party vibes you can input! This return marks the 16th time LoM’s offering this outrageous evening of theatrical glee.
Boot up for live performances from the LoM ensemble, a party-wide competition for a real-ass sword, live dancing music from Brooklyn cumbia surf rock band La Banda Chuska, tasty libations, and more. And all -yes, all- of the money raised at the event will help support paying LoM’s standing ensemble of theatrical artists.

A new Soundpainted sonder from the LoM ensemble
Prompt: a live performance where human artists generate, commiserate, and coagulate audience suggestions into a three-dimensional, fourth-wall-breaking l’apple du vide at the precipice of existential doom. Soundpainted (aka conducted) by LoM Co-Founder Nolan Kennedy, the piece showcases the ripping talents of LoM’s ensemble of actors, musicians, dancers, and composers. “Alive, Real” will have you asking: well… should we?

What’s the post-punk funky psychedelic 1960s chicha mod music that’s making all your bones want to leap out and get wild on the dance floor? That’s the slick symphonics of La Banda Chuska: Brooklyn’s finest purveyors of Cumbia and retro surf. Hot off their Lincoln Center debut, their music has been described as a “subversive playfulness… [evoking] comparisons to a tropical version of the B-52s.” Featuring Adele Fournet on keys/vocals, Felipe Wurst and Sam Day Harmet on guitars, Abe Pollack on bass, and Joel Mateo on drums.
